Hey I just skimmed through the instructions and watched one of your vids (done very nicely btw) I was also curious as to how you added text on top of the video like in the "goodmusic" video the "Roud 1" text. How do I put it in and what program do I use?

Windows Movie Maker... Add text to selected scene.

No wonder. I've used FRAPs for long time (back in my Counter-Strike days) and recently I've had it record slower than from I remembered back a couple years ago. Now that I know its the FPS setting I can start recording FFXI with no troubles.

Well, I got Fraps today and recorded a few small clips. went well, but not perfect.
I read through the post to prevent asking a question that was asked before.
Luckely I have a network server for storing stuff, so when I save my movies to that drive, it looks actually smoother ^^
It's a pain when I try to make one in full size, tends to slow my system down, movie is decent, regardless of that.
But another problem is, I keep fraps on, log to pol, ALT and TAB to use another program ow what ever.
But when I try to log back in from pol. either FFXI has the tendancy to go non-responding and need to exit.
Or (twice so far) My system crash and burns and goes to a full restart.
Any solution to that problem?
By the way, the first movie was kinda nice which I edited.
Added a news flash to prevent boredom. ^.~
mostly experimenting for my Maat fight as RDM, which will happen soon ^^

**UPDATE** FRAPS 2.7.2 has been released torrent it at www.torrentspy.com I would provide a link but that'd be illegal o,O
Also Fraps must be cracked or full to run past 30 seconds, and for the crash and burn close ALL other programs and attempt it your system my not be able to handle all the tasks and removes the largest
Music lol theres a button near where you Import Video it says Import Audio

Well, I found a hardware-matic workaround for it.
system crashed over and again today without the use of fraps.
Experienced these problems before in another way, but just gonna add this as a hint.
If you upgrade your system, make sure your power supply is strong enough, to supply the power you need.
When your system asks too much power then it can supply, it tends to get unstable.
Discovered this with my system because I borrowed my brothers RAM module. >.>
~~~~aditional post~~~~
Well, got Fraps working as it should and all.
But my system was still buggy in other parts.
Up to a point where I had to do old school Windows hacking and driver replacing. :/
I used Vana'diel Bench 3 over and again and 'that' made my system crash over and again for some reason.
It would run the first time, but the second time it went BSoD and restarted in a second.
One of the problems with Fraps I had was that models were blinking or disappearing when I used full-size mode.
That went away but the Benchmarker still had it.
So if you have these troubles, I recommend to get in a person who's really good at maintaining systems beyond the average computer user. ^^;
~/waves to new drivers~ Farewell tripple buffering and such, which made the benchmarker say "Incredibly Tough" system.
~/welcomes old, compatible drivers~ Welcome back old crappy less scoring drivers, that keep my system stable. ^^
LOL yes but I can't get to work it fine @.@ when I do preview with audio, my video is distorted terribly and it's everything pixeled >,< but when not using the music it gets fine...
could you please put like a pictorial on how to embed music and/or putting special effects like text or fading or something like that? XD I'm sorry but I still can't figure out how Movie Maker works >,<
