I can't wait anymore. Well I can, but not as much. Since the festival is right around the corner, I'll pull an SE and start releasing my 4 videos leading up to the entry I used in fanfest.


We'll start with the one that was going to be my original entry but the music would have caused it to get disqualified.

Oh and don't worry about LoT 2. I haven't forgotten about it.

Fan entry #1 was epic! i loved it!!! great camera angles and just an overall great video.. ur style of movie making is definatly unique

but y would the music cause it to get disqualified? does it have to be FFXI music onry?

Update:

I am home now and I cannot decide if I want to finish LoT 2 now or start making music videos or more comical videos in preparation for next year.

For those of you there AND were from Alabama, I'm so sorry for the comment i made about being the only one from there that plays. I've been up and down AL and when i mention the game they just stare at me like I'm weird. But mention WoW and OMG I KNOW THAT.

Next, Yes I was beaten this year, but I cannot find the winning video anywhere.
However, I really thank everyone who cheered when my name appeared on the screen. That made me feel so much better.

Turns out my video was a finalist but they didn't bother sending me an email saying I was a finalist so until the video contest I was feeling down that I was not going to be in it this year. Boy was I surprised.

Oh and to everyone that was there, you know that tube I was carrying around with me. If you didn't see, it contained two posters.
Last year, the development team autographed a CoP poster for me so this year I brought two posters that I had saved in those tubes to see if I could meet them again and get their autographs again. I was hoping to win first place so they would meet me again but... taru taru zombies beat me.

The last night there however, during the art contest I saw Sage Sundi in the back (btw, he actually remembers me which I thought was very cool and an honor). I asked if I could get a favor and get the dev team to sign my posters again. Instead of taking the tube and getting them signed, he took me to the green room himself and I got to meet the dev team AGAIN, and they all signed it including those that werent there last year AND one of the Star Onions. Most remembered me and my video recollections and they loved my latest video with the taru hitting the wall. They seemed kinda busy but they were happy to take a group picture with me once again.




That meant a lot to me too so yea... even though I didn't get first place, I got this which means a lot to me.


Also I finally got to meet another fellow video maker, Kisats. (Imperial on here).




Overall, I would say this was better but ummm SE... please please sponsor a better hotel. I think that Hilton was run by Paris Hilton and it was pretty crappy rooms for a "high class" hotel.

Don't want to crash your thread, so I'll keep this short...

I'll be posting TaruTaru Zombies on Youtube soon. Just working on adding the credits to it because everyone who came out for the filming deserves a ton of credit.

Thanks for posting all your info on the contest, hardly anyone else did... I am personally stunned that I won first place (I also didn't receive an email about making the finals/viewing) and thought your vid was really good.

I wish. I really wish. Funny, how I went to school to be a programmer and out of it, I get a desire to do video editing/directing. Unforunately I live in a city of Engineers for NASA (btw do not be fooled by someone who works for NASA, they are NOT as smart as they make themselves out to be), so there is no jobs here like that. Unless you know someone....


Anyways, next week I start filming the last episode of LoT 2. Then after that I might go with music videos for a while, mostly to prepare for next year's Fanfest.
I don't know if I'll do more comedy or more action but I'll decide soon enough. Episode 5 won't be as explosive as 4 and the ending, well I really can't say what emotion will it cause, but it will not take as long as 4.

Wow 37 days. It has been a while.

Turns out I had too much going into episode 5 so I was looking at a 60 minute movie so I decided to split it into two halves.

I just need to add the music and Episode 5 will be done so look for it this week.

Some so and so is claiming to be me. First off, I'm a guy and second I've already been seen at last year's and this year's Fanfest. Thirdly, I'm latin not Japanese.

Also I am working on the final episode now, I just took a small break to get caught up on stuff and work on other important things like looking for a new job. (hint hint for all those that watch that are also in the HR department ). But really I am working on this because I do want to get back to what I started out working on when I started making videos: Music Videos.
