I just found these the other day. I have to admit I enjoyed them. The only thing that still bugs me is the font. Sometimes its hard to read but thats my only complaint lol.
Good Job, Can't wait for Ep.4.

Toreis, yes I understand your criticism but there is no way I can change it, it's written in stone. But if you don't like it, then do not watch it. That goes for anyone else. I welcome criticism as long as it's informative like Toreis'.

No, yeah- I don't expect you to change anything, just offering my thoughts. Like I said, I do like them- And I will be downloading and watching episode four. Keep doing what you're doing.
Kia, thanks. >< I caught the name and artist in the credits, but like I said, I wasn't able to find it online. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough. ~.~;

Could you do me a favor at least? If you like the song, give positive feedback on that web site. Abg was the first person I sent Recollection to, since it was his song that inspired me and said he would be honored if I made an FFXI video for that song.

Will do. Once they get around to registering my account (which, according to VGMix, might take a few days) I'll be sure to come back and leave something for him. I most definitely like that song.

The phrase you're looking for is constructive criticism Cruia. =)
Anyway, Eithea might of been blunt, maybe a little harsh, but his opinion is fine and reasonable (aside from his losing brain cells statement, which wasn't necessary - we already got the point he doesn't like the script work). I do not know why Pyro_Lareisha got all offended because someone thinks the story is a little lacking. I'd say Pyro is the one that needs to back off. I also do not hear anyone speaking. I do not hear anything actually, aside from sound of myself typing on my keyboard with my music playing through my headset, but details, details right?
Moving on, I enjoy your little mini series Cruia. However, as already mentioned the story and dialogue is rather trite and cliche but I honestly do not really mind it so much. It detracts a bit from the overall work, but not enough for me to stop watching. I guess I'd say that it's cheesy and cliche, but in a good way, almost nostalgic - considering console rpgs back in the late 80's and early 90's followed this exact mold. Haha. In all honestly, cheesy story or not, it is most definately refreshing to see something different done in the video section from the usual and tiresome bcnms, missions, gods and kraken club videos.
On to comments on episode 04. This is a rather long one, at 21 minutes and 46 seconds, huzzah! A nice treat because I wasn't expecting this one to be 4-5 times longer then the others. Overall, not too shabby, nice use of camera angles and nice choice of music throughout each scene. I am most definately pleased you took in suggestions for text in this episode. They were definately more clear-cut and readable. The timing was just about right, I definately did not feel the need to rush my reading, able to read at a casual pace without worry the text would disappear. I did not need to stop once throughout this episode to read the text displayed.
I really liked the scene where the character Cruia is running through the zones to boast of his accomplishments after his ego and pride has overtaken him. It was very simple with the fading but worked really well. A small look into the past of the other characters was nice, and gives them some character but I still feel very distant from them all. Not enough screen time for the emotional effect you were trying to make with those flashbacks. Couldn't feel those bonds being formed. Can't really be helped though, because you'd probably end up with an hour long episode. Time constraint's an issue, as is the increase file size from a longer video, so with that in mind, it wasn't badly done.
A few of the narratives and dialogue could of been re-written a bit better and I'm not sure what you meant by incapaciatate, unless you meant incapacitate. Either way it felt as if you threw in a big word, it was awkward reading that line of narrative. There was also the issues of having black empty video in two parts of the video, one at 5:56 mark and the other at 10:44 mark. The roughly 2 minutes worth of black screen time at each of those marks were jarring to say the least. Was this on purpose? Or was the file I downloaded corrupted?
Lastly, the evil red text reared it's ugly head near the end of the episode and the ending credits was all red. I know you want the red for the added evil effect but it's reaaaaaaally hard to read that text colour when there's activity in the background. On black, it's alright, but when you have anything aside from black and white, it's rather hard to read. Have you tried giving it a 1 pixel or 2 pixel outline in a different colour?
Anyway, a good effort once again. Looking forward to the next episode.

^^ Downlaoding ep 4 right now really looking forward to it.
To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to this story after I saw ep1, it's kinda.. hmm.. lack in
some background... like how a bunch of "red evils" just going around bashing others... and also the
pace of the battle scenes (in ep1) are too slow. But I have to admit as Noodlebrain said, the clips
are far from boring or considered a waste of time as some ppl said, I enjoyed it alot more than the
other ballista/ws/so on..
As ep2 starts, it got better.. but again more repeatative slow pace fight scenes and /laugh from the
"red demons". I love the scene in jeuno tho, how you murder those kids (I know it sounds bad, but
you really show how much of an asshole those red demons are XD), and after the last scene I was
looking forward to ep3.
Ep3- o man!!! where did you get that idea from? learning new power? man!!! that's really
something LOL I guess you read/ watch a lot of mangas right? Anyways, I was addicted after
watching that episde. The clip is done alot better than the first two episodes, alot of background
info and I like the jokes ^^ the nature of thf, the showing off of the old man so on...
>< only 45% done downloading, well.. dinner time, guess I will post my feed back of ep4 after that..
sorry about saying your vid is lack in story in ep1.

Ep4, very well done, but this problem:
is present on mine too. Looks like a possible "whoops" moment there.
Bring on Ep5!

Well, this looks like a very good mini-series. I like it very much, and its pretty creative. Also like the fact that you changed the text speed so its now readable.
I only see little problems, in episode 1-2, it was alittle repetitive. Just seeing people fight the GMs and get wupped got alittle boring to watch (I also didn't like that when there was a 1-on-1 fight going that some GM would come from behind and kill the guy off, but that's a personal thing). Episode 3 got me back into it, I say the only problem is, like what someone stated before, is that you called the GMs, Game Masters. Would be better if you called them something else, escpecially if you're trying to make FFXI apart from the game.
As for Episode 4, great job, it was great to know what the hell was going on now
. Just this little problem that everyone else knows:
Other than that, good script, good fights, looking forward to the next one.

I think what it was, during the compiling process I had to split some of the scenes up so that my computer would start bitching at me saying it wouldn't compile and in turn started giving more empty space. I'm at work now but I'll fix it when I get home. (Kinda wondered why it went up from 18 minutes to 21 minutes). It'll be fixed today.
Meh, this is what I get for being too impatient and forcing myself on a deadline instead of making sure the movie is in good shape. It happens.... >.>

wow!!! that's all I can say about this new episode. It is the best so far, very
impressive work Cruia!!! and you fixed the font! thankyou, so much easier
to read now.
LOL I thought the clip ends when the black screen comes out...
So after this series, are you planning on making a new series like LOT2 or
sumthing? and Kia can be the badie this time lol
I think Kia is the one suffered the most.. poor girl ; ;
