I've replaced my hard drive, new RAM and even added another case fan. None of this helps!

Be sure to scan for spyware and stuff to. Check the programs running in the task manager and make sure everything looks normal. I removed some spyware from a friends pc while helping him update ffxi, his prob. was similiar but his pc rebooted during the update :/

ugh, idiots, it's never spyware, spyware doesn't make your computer restart, or your monitor go black...
Virii: Mostly never
Spyware: Never. If it does, then it's not spyware, it's malware/virii
Solution #1: Overheating, add a fan or leave the side of your case off
Solution #2: Drivers. GFX card and Sound Card...
Solution #3: FFXI, reinstall
Solution #4: Reformat Windows and reinstall

:/ What I meant was, the spyware runs in your taks manager if too much ram is being taken up your pc can do those types of things like reboot turn off etc. My friends pc and many I've worked on are overloaded with little adware malware. Spyware scanners find these things too >_<

still, you'd need like 50 spyware processes to even make a dent in the ram/process cycles :/
guess your friend has like 128mb ram?

I took it to the "Techies". Opening the side of the case and sticking a big fan in front makes it work perfect, but I'd rather permanently fix the problem than having tons of dust being blown into the comp. I'll let ya know what they say (I'm thinking I need a AGP cooler).
Thanks!
BTW all my drivers are updated as well.
-----UPDATED 11:46AM-------
I have added 2 more fans to my PC, uninstalled ALL graphics card drivers and reinstalled the newest ones on the ATI site, uninstalled programs I do not use, and uninstalled norton and atm I am checking if Norton Internet Security 2005 could be the problem. I'm letting FFXI run on my home PC while I'm at work. If it's up when I go home for lunch I think I may have fixed it:)
