9800PRO is overkill for FFXI, its what I have an love it. But if you got the cash get the X800

I actually used to run FFXI on a P3 667 Mhz, 192 SD Ram, 20 GB drive and a 32 MB PCI Radeon. I had to play at 640x480 with no sound, everything off/down and it still crashed all the time. Those were the days /nostalgia.

Hell im using a Radeon 3600 and it runs fine at (resolution) 1280 by 1024 and 1024 by 768 (background) but i perfer to use my laptop so i cam max it out no prob

geforce 7800 and radeon x850 are the 2 best out right now, no dispute. The 7800 kills the x850 though.

Did you just say this? Have you even owned a 2600 mobile before? I got a friends up to 2.25ghz stable. That's an athlon 3400 model...How can you dispute a 3400 athlon for under 100 dollars? Oh ya, you can't.

Did I say mobile? Do you think the majority of people asking for help in here are going to be overclocking? No, didn't think so. So when I say 'Barton 2600 piece of shit', I mean non-mobile, non-overclocked.
