I just rebought FFXI for the PC, my PC exceeds every system requirement, and PoL works fine. But, when I go to select my character, it crashes. DOes anyone have an idea at what may be causing this?

No, it goes fine, then just crashes.


Edit- Tried screen resolution/ Background resolution, and it still crashes. /sigh.

What about colors just on your regular 'properties' tag?

I don't think that's an issue..but I'm pretty stumped.

Yup. I've tried everything. my PC exceeds all system requirements, I just completely wiped everything, and reinstalled windows, no spyware, and crap like that.

I get to the Character select screen, and it just closes, and I have no idea why. It's really pissing me off now. Pol works fine, just won't let me select my character.

I think I have a solution to the problem, but dont quote me on it. Go to your options menu and I think its the last tab, there should be a option called smplify character select or something like that. That should prevent you from crashing. Tell me if that helps or not. Im sorry if it doesnt

I phoned PoL technical help, and he mentioned that. But it turns out it's my graphics card, which is gay. Guess I gotta buy a new one tomorrow. ; ;
