Hello im a level 56 summoner from Ramuh and was wondering when they where planning to update summoner because as of now Avatars arent as strong as they should be. plus they drain mp to fast and summoning skill is a major pain to level up. If anyone has any info on update let me know, thanx

i have heard that something is in the Pipeline as ive heard they were going to lower MP cost and Increase Avatars Strengh think i read it on the Official Site Somewhere or on Warcry.com were the Head of Development Posts

They said they'd boost the power of the summoner job. It's a welcome thing to hear because right now, mostly anything will help. Luckily, i'm not playing sum until later on, and by that point the update will have passed (hopefully)

yes, stronger avatars would help a lot for the people who use smn as their main... I've heard rumors about Bahamut being added to the avatar list one day, but then again they were rumors. I've been wondering if anyone has any info on that.

Also, is Fenrir going to be added in the next big update? (I dont really expect straight answers to these questions, seeing as how they're mostly based on rumor)

Heh. I consider bahamut a perma-rumor ^^ very doubtful we'll have him, unless the changes to summoner are larger than I thought...

They said they don't have any plans to add summons anytime soon, and I do agree with them, they should fix the job before adding more summons.

I think fenrir will be next, as well as the thunder spirit. Would make sense to "finish" the avatar and spirits.

there still has yet to be a "light" avatar, as Fenrir will be "dark elemental".

Technically, Carbuncle is light. Fenrir will be released in the next update. I heard that mp cost MIGHT lower, but the strength of the avatars are going to remain the same. But the skills you'll receive after breaking level 75 are suppose to make the summoner worthwhile.

knights of the round? can we say major lag. Imagine being in qufim or kazham or something and having an additional 12 avatars following you and fighting in addition to all the other people leveling there. however, now that i think about it, if they did add that (which i find incredibly doubtful) it would be AMAZING for soloing. lol, imagine that. well anyways, i have heard alot about fenrir being added and i would not be suprised at all if they did add him. I am still very hopefull on bahamut. I think that would be awesome to have a dragon following behind you. Since I'm only 32 whm now maybe they will have added Fenrir and /em crosses fingers, Bahamut. Well, i guess we just gotta wait and see.

fenrir is a definate, as to when i don't know. possibly next update, or next expansion pack which would be PvP. fenrir is already in the game, i believe someone told me mission 9-1 you meet him.

also on this forum i heard someone speak of a possible phoenix??? which would be nice an avatar with raise!

regarding the thunder spirit issue, i could care less if they complete them or not, they suck! they drain MP WAY TOO FAST!!! and they don't do any dmg or have and pet commands. you have to just hope that they randomly cast some sort of elemental spell while you have them out... and that you have to wait for...

actually i belived it is ghoing to be fenriur and alexander because on the shadowe-dragon fourms some one had replaced ther moogle with a random file and it came up with what looked like a holy knight and sorta like alexander:S well thats what i th ink it is going to be

This is what I've heard, and it's pretty reliable. They're adding Fenrir and *drumroll* this game's version of Odin, which will be King Ronphare or whatever. This should take place in the next major update, but they're still working on the bugs. They will be reducing avatar mp costs, and talking about encreasing strength, since they feel summoner is weaker than it should be.(Should I say gimpified compared to how it should be? But then everyone would be a summoner and the Shadowlord would be our plaything.)

It is very unlikely that Bahamut will be added into the game. Mostly because of the sizes. For each of the avatars available now, the sizes of each are fairly good. If you put in Bahamut, they'd have to make him as small or smaller than Titan. Now tell me, how horrible would that look? If Bahamut, Odin, Diabolus, or any summons would be put it, I think it'd be done a different way.

Instead of summoning it and it would stay out, it would be more similar to that of Final Fantasy VII. You summon it, it comes in and does its thing, then it leaves. Something like that wouldn't create as much constant lag as keeping them out. That's just my opinionm however.

I'm sort of hoping that Bahamut doesn't get added anytime really soon. There are too many people right now that could get him the second he came out. I think if they are going to add him they should make him be in Limbo. Where you need an alliance of 75+ to obtain him so that he will be the absolute rarest summon to see.
