Bah KI sucks and deleted my first response. Anyway, when I did mine I hadn't completed my RSE pattern set either. So I don't think that effects it. But since I and others have searched zones during an RSE week and found nothing, I figure there has to be something else governing these things. But I don't really have any leads as to what that might be.

Yeah, I finished my RSE ages ago. I, too, am thinking there's something else at work regarding the ??? spawning. I'm also not sure what it might be...

When I checked it was Tuesday night during the Full Moon. I was there from 95% full moon on Iceday thru the start of 100% Full Moon on Lightsday. I'll be sure next time I check somewhere that it's not a Full Moon.

I also ate some soup for dinner and had showered that day. Perhaps instead I need to eat something with garlic & onions, or to forego deodorant, for the Aroma mobs to arrive.

I'm in Gusgen atm looking for the ???, and I could find it during other peoples RSE time, but sure enough I cant find it during mine. It figures.

I beleive the ??? you were clicking on up there is for a different quest/mission.


Edit: Well I'm bored, lets play around with some theories.

1. The ??? location changes every Vanadiel day. Day one its in Ordelles, Day two its in Shakrami, Day three its in Gusgen, then the cycle starts over.

2. The ??? stays in a zone for the whole Vanadiel Week, but it can be any zone. So if its Elvaan RSE in gusgen, the ??? can be there, or in Ordelles, or in the Maze for the whole week.

Which brings up the next two theories:

3. You can only pop the ??? in the zone where your RSE is happening. For example, is currently male elvaan rse in gusgen. I have to wait until its the day where the ??? pops here, and click it.

4. You can pop the ??? in any of the three zones, so long as its your RSE week.

Again, the above is all just random theories that I post while I'm bored because I cant find the #@%ing ??? in gusgen. The day is about to change though, maybe I can find it now...

Yeah, I think next RSE week that I'm not at work during I will go /WHM and bounce between all 3 RSE zones. I don't know if it spawns in different ones based on game day, or has a chance in spawning in any of the 3 zones, but enough people have had trouble finding it in the 'right' RSE zone for their week that it's time to look around.

Ack, sorry. The "You see monster tracks on the ground." one at (J-7) is for the Deathbringer quest, as Masenko pointed out halfway down page 1. I'll update the post so that it doesn't show that text.

If people know the text displayed by the correct ???'s then please post and I'll update accordingly. ^^

Edit: Well, I give up. I looked through at the points already listed for the maze and didnt see the ???, so I left. I dunno whats up, so...I'm done for today. Guess I'll give it another go on sunday night...

Maybe its possible that for each race, there is only one zone the ??? can pop in for them? So you have a 1/3 chance of your rse week falling on that zone? Whatever, I'm done for now. Toodles!

Well, if that's the case we'll know on Sunday. So far no luck for the Elvaans in Maze on Tuesday or Gusgen today. There's definately something more to it than "Look for the ??? during your RSE week" though.

Hmm. Well, my friend Avinor is Elvaan and he got his Sachet in Maze. Shimmy is Taru M and he got his in Ordelle's.

I'm Elvaan male, I found the ??? clicked it and all it said was "You see monster tracks on the ground" nothing poped, got a couple of other Elvaan males too check it and nothing also. this went on for a good hour then I gave up

edit: Btw this was durning my RSE time, like 20 minutes after I poped the chest to get my pattern also.

I actually think these are pretty useless for all races, because what do the RSE peices do? They give you stats for Jobs the Race isnt normally, like Galka Mage type, Taru Melee...

Elvaan + STR is the oppositte. I probably only find it useless because i'm an elvaan Mage but i figured they made it go with the whole set.

Maybe because youre a mage.. STR in the ranged slot is very useful. Only other way is an Arco de Velocidad, besides Goblin grenade, and not all melee can equip that. Great for The STR macros..
