I like that timer a lot, very slick.
You can also use the Mithra Pride timer. It lets you check the next 5 RSE dates/times per race/gender for planning a few days in advance.

Do you think it could have anything to do with what Race and the zone near your nation? It seems the 2 tarutaru that have gotten it got it in Maze of Shakrami and the Elvaan PLD got in in Ordelles.
Like this:
Odelle's = Elvaan
Gusgen Mines = Hume/Galka
Maze of Shakrami = Taru/Mithra
Just a thought.

The original Taru, Shimmy, found his in Ordelles, and I found mine in Maze though. At first I wondered if the zone had to be opposite your nation somehow, but it doesn't seem to work that way. The thought that its only active for 1 race per RSE cycle may have some merit, but we'll have to get more reports from people looking.

I'm starting to think that the ???'s are only active for 1 area per RSE cycle as well.

hey nix, i think u were the last to see it how many days ago was it? (ps are u a taru boy or girl?)
also i guesstimate that each rse week lasts 7.5 hrs sooo every 2 1/2 days a new cycle begins

Another day in gusgen, another nothing for elvaans.
Lets go with the "One race gets the ??? per rse cycle" idea.
And what the hell, lets assume the order for a race getting the ??? follows the pattern for, well, getting patterns out of chests.
Well then, watch this compilation of fine information that could be entirely false!
When my friend popped the ??? in gusgen with me, it was Male Taru RSE.
That cycle ended. I searched Gusgen for my week. Nothing.
Based on the theory, it was female taru RSE week.
Next week I searched Ordelles with nothing. In theory this was Mithra RSE week.
Next cycle was Shakrami for me. But according to theory, it would have been Galka RSE week.
Today I did Gusgen. Nothing. But according to theory, it is Male Hume RSE week.
Too late for hume males to get it according to this theory, your rse was just up. It was in Shakrahmi by the way.
AND SPECULATION TIME!
If this is correct, the next race up is Hume Females. In the next rotation, your RSE is Maze of Shakrahmi, starting (time in EST): Monday, Sept. 26, 6:12 AM.
After that week, you have Elvaan Males like me. According to theory, it would pop in the Maze of Shakrahmi also, and the start time in EST is Thursday, Sept. 29, at 3:19 AM. (freaking lame. welp, i'll be setting my alarm clock and going to work grumpy -.- )
Next one would be Elvaan Females. In the Maze of Shakrahmi. Starting Sunday, Oct. 2, 12:26 AM. (EST)
Notice how all the zones are the same. Just the way it works out. I'm not sure if the zones can switch based on this system, but hey, it could be possible that the ??? could still pop in any zone during your time (And possible that based on this system the zone could switch, I just cant go any further figuring it out with the timer without breaking a sweat)
Anywho.
I'd recommend Hume Females, Elvaan Males, and Elvaan Females to check their RSE zones at the time stated if they can (I'll continue to check the "regular" RSE cycle for Elvaan Males.) If you cant find it, I would recommend checking Gusgen and Ordelles during the same times as well.
WARNING: It should be obvious reading the thread that I, along with others, have no clue what I'm talking about. So if you check the zone during the RSE times stated and theres no pop, hey, you decided to follow my info. I didn't force you. So back off! =P
Feel free to keep hunting and speculating on your own as well.

Searched Gusgen for the first 3 days of the Vanadiel Week for Elvaan Male RSE. Found Jack. Went to the Maze to search. Found Shit.
I love these NMs
;
edit: We should get everyone that's been able to pop them and figure out the dates they popped and what order compared to everyone else. Possibly find a pattern off of that.

Male Taru RSE is in 3 hours in Ordeles. I'll be there checking on it as that sachet would be great for my BLM.
Edit. I went and looked but found nothing.

I could use that Elvaan one for my Dark Knight. I wanted to check out the Male Elvaan week in gusgen but I ended up getting home from work on darksday @ 20:00. No time to get to gusgen and search.
Also, that ??? in the picture that says "there are animal tracks here" is for a Bastok Mission (trade hare meat to spawn blind moby) so that isn't one of them.
And lastly... that Vana Navi clock is not synched up with my game. It's an hour and 22 mins (game) fast. Anyone have a link to a synched up one?

Here's an idea, seems simple but makes sense. You may have to wait for your RSE week in the area closest to your race's hometown. That person said that they popped it over and over in shrakrami was a taru, then gusgen for humes and ordelle for elv.

Just a thought, could you either need an RSE quest active, or perhaps even something as obscure as having a key for the treasure chest in your inventory?

That information is wrong. We know it drops from the Aroma mobs.

My friend Shimmy (Taru M) got his in Ordelle's. My friend Avinor (Elvaan M) got his in Maze.

As far as I can tell, the problem everyone is having is in finding the ???'s, not popping the mob. Once people find the right ???, they're always able to pop the mob if it's their RSE week. (And it's not like the ???'s are visible only to some people and not to others.)

ok i have been trying to keep track of it, but last person to get it was a female taru that reported it anyhow. Then should of been mithra then galka, hume male, soooooo i figure hume females next go around should be up for the ??? . I have been checking every rse week for male elvaan no pop the past four times im about to check again at 2 est just in case.
