i dont think warcry or beserk affects boost, its just caculated from your base atk, i could be wrong...

I wasn't addressing accuracy gear; I personally think that if you gimp your accuracy just for a little extra damage, that the entire WS is wasted...I was referring to more along the lines of macroing out my Fed. Kyahan and Rep. Subligar for RSE or other pieces with extra STR on them, as opposed to keeping the Attack in those slots.

At least read the links I posted. I'm not arguing the subjob, I'm simply adding additional info since not many people here actually have first hand experience in MNK/DRG. pathwriter's information is great, I like that Full Swing is mentioned as a legit source of Monk damage. But just that one section doesn't feel right, almost feels like Brady Guide type information, theory without practice.

I have never levelled Dragoon, so, yes, I was working from pure theory. I'm one of the few Monks on this forum whom has ever considered Dragoon seriously, but I simply cannot convince myself that one extra attack every fight or two makes up for the loss of Double Attack and Berserk, regardless of how strong that attack may be and regardless of 5% Haste on your earring. So, yeah, it's a little Brady-fied, I'll look into making it a little more palatable.

just a heads up. i'm a 10monk/5war n My hand-to-hand capped at 33. So Shouldertackle isn't lv 10.

I've already broken down weapon skills, abilities, job traits, and major job traits, abilities, and spells from support jobs. It's 24 pages of text at 12 point Times New Roman, 9,493 words, 45,301 characters...
About the only thing I haven't spelled out is equipment because I've given a basic framework elsewhere. That and quests, which I'm still debating about.

Power GI (I plan to kep it until probably 25ish)
Purple Belt (White Belt ATM)
Republic Knuckles (Burning cetsi)
Battle Gloves
Wing Pendant
Courage Ring X2 (for 14)
Traveller mantle
Pebbles
Bone Earring +1 X2
Monk Headgear
This good gear till I leave valkurm atleast (I can do obvious replacements like Beetle Earring +1, Spike Necklace, etc)

Seems good so far, get a Emperor/emperess hairpin or a merc. headger later.

Good info all around, although as far as chi blast goes, there is no such MND x 10 cap, i've broken this supposed cap on many occassion's. Everything else though seem's right in place.

Can you provide evidence of that, Skyylya? I've never heard of anyone doing more than MND x 10 damage and would welcome some proof of it, even anecdotal. If nothing else, it's conceivable that a change was made since the consensus was reached (which would have been over a year ago, probably back when Effen was still playing and the first NAs were reaching 75 as Monks).

Anti-bump prevents me posting this separately. Updated formatting to be more legible (I hope), re-arranged order of support jobs to more logically group melee subs and mage subs, added information on Warp to Black Mage support, and re-arranged order of FAQ to flow more logically.
