this only lists magic type monster abilities. i don't think blue mage would learn sickle slash and jet stream because they aren't magic abilities. the spells seen casted in the video were enfeebling and breath attacks which count as magical. all this was taken from mystery tour.

Wow, if that turns out to be correct, imma see an update where they gimp the fug outta blue mage within like 2 months, when ppl start makin Mana burn pt's as BLU's and just raping mobs like non other with their super buffs and hi dmg skills (like sickle slash, or bomb toss ><)

I think they are gonna steer clear of letting them learn the really strong skills, such as sickle slash and screwdriver, way too strong, imo.

Sickle Slash from a Blue Mage 6 levels below the level of the mob they're fighting will not be nearly as powerful. Hell, a Sickle Slash from a spider that's VT to me sometimes doesn't even break 100.

well, thats assuming that the move is an exact copy of the monsters TP move and that the spells power is not based on mnd or int or anything...

notice how i didn't put sickle slash, screw driver, throat stab, etc in the list. like i said i only listed magic type abilities. so what i've put above is really only half of all the mob abilties there are excluding ehancing abilities as well.

i seems to remember in ff7 enemy skills you couldn't learn any physical enemy skills, it was all magic.

the worms and leeches seems to give him good abilities if you look.

Most other mage jobs seem to get about 1 spell per level. I would expect in the 50-100 range for the total number of Blue Magics.

The OP left out the possibility of enhancing magics. Most of these only affect yourself, however, so there's not much of a chance that blue mages will be buffing their party members.
