sorry to be an idiot for asking about a job that we're not even sure exists yet, but i was thinking when they release BLU if they do, what do you guys think would be a good sub for BLU. i'd like to know what stats the enemy abilities use, but if you think about it it would probably be based on the spell. so maybe rdm would be a good sub. but then whm may be a good sub because then you'd get some healing abilities. i'm not sure about blm but that could be good due to the mp boost and nuking could be good if blu gets elemental ability. who knows depending on how the jobs set up it could be good with a melee sub like nin. but i guess we won't know until we know what stats the job is based on and how it is set up, and if it's even BLU. i was surprised when i couldn't find a BLU sub forum made already, and let's face it someone is going to make one so post your ideas.

It depends on what the role BLU will be (assuming SE pulls through with the job). If people will use it for support purposes, then whm sub would probably be best, or maybe rdm in some cases. If you could stack some abilities with sneak attack, then thf sub would be cool. If, for some reason, it turns out to be a good tank, then blu/war 4tw.

Honestly though, I would think that /RDM would be the best, considering you're going to have to solo a lot of things to get the abillities you want. With /RDM you will have Phalanx, Stoneskin, and Blink to protect you from the abilities, while you learn them. But if that cancels out learning them (not taking damage from them)...well then, I have no idea. Back to BLU/BRD
