So just for the thoughts I have seen some things around and talked to some people and if you think about it alot of it makes sence. Anyways, 3 Main things.

#1 Unlocking New Jobs (Ex. Blue Mage, Geomancer etc.) Heard something along the lines of 60+ Requirement before allowed access to Job.

#2 Interesting Twist On The Job. (This is a Rumor Has to be) To Unlock Example. Geomancer You would have to have Red Mage leveled to 60 and then the Approprate Sub. (Some kind of Fighter I'd Think) Thats Kind of a Bad example so this one will make more sence. Say they made a Necromancer (I know I know it's just for an example) Job. Requirements for quest would be a 60 BLM / 30 SMN (Kinda Makes Sence to a Point I guess)

#3 Supposed Jobs Release - Geomancer (Mostly Confirmed) Blue Mage (Kinda Confirmed) Dancer (WTF Just heard it somewhere) and Pirate (Some kind of Ultmate Thief and it's name is to be released)

Now like I said This is just food for thought nothing here that I know of has actually been confirmed or denied just some of the things I have heard.

I dunno about #2 cause that would force people to play specific jobs in order to get other ones they might actually want to play. As for number 3 I think Blue mage mostly confirmed i havent heard much about the other ones. I could definately see Geomancer. I dont think pirate will be added cause it just sounds like a THF but better so that wouldnt make any sense. Dancer might make sense. It would prob sort of be like bard but maybe for debuffs. *shrugs* I dunno i guess we'll just have to wait a couple more days to find out.

maybe it will be like FFTA where you have to learn certain jobs and skills in order to unlock the higher level ones

Im a RDM and i dont agree with it but yeah it would hurt the people who DONT want to play blm or smn >.>

I say, as a veteran of FFIII (j) and FF5, that Blue mage will be in the new expansion. I have seen the promo from the Tokyo Game Show. They are clearly Blue Mages.

The first means absolutely nothing, and the second is common knowledge. Anyone can d/l that video.

I expect blue mage to be in it, but wouldn't be suprised if the entire FFXI community was wrong. As for Geomancer, I don't like the idea. Too many mobs are resistant to their surroundings, which is why they are placed in those locations. So Geomancer would be pointless and self-defeating.

Hmm a dancer that would be too like brd it would be nice to have another enner/refresh.
But it would be alot like bard and played the same way and thats not what i would want from a new job .
I also heard that the new job is viking like uses axes and is very strong ect so it could be a berserker . But then that would be just another DD to add to the LFP list . =/

I didn't Make any of these Ideas lol just things I heard around the net and in servers GMs etc. The idea of spefcific (sp?) jobs to get another I belive was tossed around when people first thought new jobs were coming to COP and now that there are going to be new jobs it only made sence to add it.

The 60+ on Job quest starting I seem to be hearing that a Lot. Probally one of the best moves as advanced jobs take good knowledegebase of the game. I mean Players know what mob does what for the most part. (BLU, or BUM) People need to understand the Weather and Effects of the zone they are in (GEO) as far as the other jobs....

Well everyone enjoys a good Dancer hah Can I get a Table Dance to the LoL I dunno it can't be all enfeeblers and magic users can it? I was pretty sure they said something about a DD of some sort. Watch it be the next Big Tank. Cause NIN wasn't really intended to be a Tank was it? and look how that turned out.

I'll see what else I can Dig up just as everyone else is. I'm just posting some of the ideas I have heard but haven't made it to the forums.

My take on Dancers yeah they would be like Bards. Has anyone played Ragnarok Online? Well In that MMO the bards and Dancers can team up to do certain skills called Ensemble skills that have different effects. This is just facts from another MMO they could spin it that way, or have Dancers Debuff instead of Buff like Bards like what someone previously said.

most interesting thing IMO... is that the OP's #1 and #2 were EXACTLY the same rumor we had before rise of Zilart was released.

You know, tons of ppl went levelling up their THF believing they need 60THF to unlock ninja. Also BLM for SMN, WAR for SAM, etc

We have info about geomancer and how it will work, but it hasn't been confirmed by SE yet. It was found out at the gameshow though.

Dancer in FFX-2 enhanced the party for the length of the dance, or enfeebled the mob for the length of the dance. Neither enchament nor enfeeblement would wear off until the end of the dance.

I'm hoping they never do the "level these jobs to this level" idea.. although I like the general "any job at this one level" thing like the advanced jobs.
