instead you hopefully have lots of highly skilled people training on a completely new job who has some sense to know what he/she is doing.

One thing I'd like to point out is that, as far as I know, SE is not even in the finalizing stages of the expansion. Part of the reason they haven't given us more detail is because they don't know all the details themselves. They're still working on some of the finer points.

With this in mind, EVERYTHING you hear should be considered rumors and speculation, unless it has a reputable media source.

I say, as a veteran of FFIII (j) and FF5, that Blue mage will be in the new expansion. I have seen the promo from the Tokyo Game Show. They are clearly Blue Mages.

The first means absolutely nothing, and the second is common knowledge. Anyone can d/l that video.

I expect blue mage to be in it, but wouldn't be suprised if the entire FFXI community was wrong. As for Geomancer, I don't like the idea. Too many mobs are resistant to their surroundings, which is why they are placed in those locations. So Geomancer would be pointless and self-defeating.

Not really. All of the rumors I heard were that Geomancer was going to be the next tank. /shrug By using the surrounding to buff themselves. But I dunno. Just what I've heard. So I doubt it will be "self-defeating" as you say.

Lv75 to open a new job is a bit much. Imagine if someone just starting the game wanted to be a Blue Mage.

'Sure, of course you can, just spend the next 6 months levelling another job which you don't like very much then you can do the Blue Mage quest and start all over again!'

I'd just like to point out that in that last pic of Blue Mage there using that Breath Attack(Forgot exact name) look at his boots... Leaping Boots kinda.. O.o I don't know. (Sorry I'm color Blind so if they're the AF just tell me ><) but could equipment effect certain abilities or.. is he just wearing them to... wear them?
