My TP set used to vary a lot between an attack focus and ac focus, but with full usu, you cant rly swap between Gote and Okoe.

which set I use varies on my acc, focus, pizza or meat etc. I'm very pleased with how the attack based one is doing. I was originally trying to ombine both of these sets into a 1-set-for-all build, but seperate builds work better in my experice.

Not to sure on if i should use my Anwig salade* for Asuran Fists or my Hissho Hachimaki Im not sure if the WS Acc was for all 8 hits or just the first.. Can't tell you where I got it that idea from but info would be appreicated also Genbu`s Kabuto or the Anwig salade for DK? also I'm happy with my TP but if you want to throw any sort of tips my way they would be taken into consideration.

I'd use the Salade for Asuran. I used that exact same helm (although Champion's Galea) for Penta Thrust, all Y/G/K/R, King's Justice/Raging Rush/Steel Cyclone. The accuracy seems to effect all hits of the multi-hit, but I'd like to see tests even if they showed otherwise.

Definitely works for all hits. I've dropped so much acc off my ws since adding it, my averages would have friggin plummeted if that hat didn't give acc to all hits.

I recently dinged 75, was wondering how many people truly carry full AF? At times I feel like the only pieces worthwhile are body/hands, except when I'm soloing. Could really use the +3 inventory space =/

How many Gobbie Bag quests have you completed and do you have a Satchel? I carry all but my Temple Hose at all times on Monk. The most negligible of the four would be Temple Gaiters, but going anywhere without Temple Gloves and Temple Crown at bare minimum is hindering yourself.

Seriously, though, if you have maxed bag space, you need to take half an hour and decide what useless crap is presently cluttering up your life. I keep a full array of jutsu tools, food, medicines, and highly situational gear (e.g., Vampiric Claws, Trainee Axe) in my Satchel and a pile of various different sets in my actual inventory. On Monk, I'm generally running somewhere around 65/80 slots occupied in inventory and that's with all my superfluous shit (non-equipped linkshells, warp sticks, Chocobo whistle) kept in my Satchel and I can still change jobs and gear in minutes.

Thanks for quick response, I totally forgot about Temple Crown, will need that for sure. I don't have a satchel sadly, I'm actually currently tossing a lot of crap. Overall, I'm running at about 65/75 on inventory counting physical/magical-/tp/ws sets only. Problem is when I get ambiguous about a "regen, chakra, counter" set which would definitely hinder my inventory once again. I'll have to re-arrange some stuff for sure.

On the other side, what category 1/2 merits are usually the norm?

5/5 Counter for sure it seems.
5/5 Kick Attacks? or 5/5 Focus?

Group 2:

????? They all sound yuck, maybe Formless Strikes and Penance for Salvage?

5 Kick / 5 Counter are the best.

Group 2 depends on what you do on monk. Most people will max invigorate, and penance for salvage. Some may want mantra if they do alot of LS burn fights.

Penance is useful in far more places than Salvage, unless that's literally the only place you take your Monk to. Otherwise, the remaining cat2 merits are sort of a pick-and-mix. I recommend everyone pick up one rank of Formless Strikes for those rare occasions that you need it (Nyzul Flans, Dynamis Paladins, that sort of thing). Invigorate is useful if you solo a lot or have healers who are not obsessive about keeping Regen active all the time. That latter circumstance is where the rub comes because Regen 1 (5 HP/tick) will overwrite Invigorate and it's been hard for me to find healers who don't try to keep Regen active when I'm tanking something. For solo, I honestly found it to be overkill when I'm already pulling off 400 HP Chakras and just not really taking much damage. By the same token, though, Mantra is even less useful. It mostly only assists for soaking Discoid or slightly increasing damage from anyone using Souleater. You honestly wouldn't hurt much by passing on either if you haven't the time or inclination to merit them.

That said, though, I'm 5 Penance, 4 Invigorate, and 1 Formless Strikes. I may not get as much mileage as I'd like out of Invigorate, but I like having it as a fall-back.
