Not too sure if anyone has posted on him... just too lazy to look thru all the forums lol so... what i have been able to determine is that it does exist... found a pic of him online in a japanese web site... but... no exact info on his spawn conditions and its been rumored to spawn in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah around F-10/E-9, only 3 Myxomycetes there, plenty of Master Coeurls and one Rock Golem there at a time... was soloing them well as RDM62 to waste away the time... then Nightfall came... Rot Prowlers all over, a Lost Soul, a Revenant and a Hell Hound... Easy Prey would Aggro me sooooo... had to change to BLM75... and camped him for bout 3 days... went afk while at work or asleep when i came back nothing odd or out of the ordinary in chat log... no signs of him being defeated casting Aquaveil or Enwater... so... yeah, simply wondering if anyone knows anything yet...

Single rain, all the times I've been in Li'Telor, I've never once seen double rain.

the pop condtions are random, you hve to STEP on the area that the mob is in, or so i read in archer forums. Some BST was wandering around and it popped on em just by stepping in a certain place. Use the search key

can you confirm this? so the odds are it MIGHT pop every 8 or so hours only IF there is rainy weather or not? then you'd have to wait til next light day if there wasn't any rainy weather?

I can't confirm anything before I have seen it with my own eyes. I will try to see it spawn in the near future. Yes, if it is right that it is lottery it might spawn when rain and lightsday. I have been looking for it some days when I am OMW to Sky and so on and the only thing I see is another WHM 75 standing there 24/7. So this looks like a hard and shy NM to get But as I said, when I have time I will try to meet and kill him Wish you all good luck!

I have heard that in order for this (And other new NMs like Taisaijin in Raungement Pass) to pop, you must not kill a Placeholder for 24 or 72 rl hours. I can NOT confirm this and I don't think some people can since people passing by would kill a placeholder or something. If any server can try this theory, PLEASE do so.

OMG... I think you can be right. I have been up looking for this NM when light-day but no rain so far. BUT; what I saw there is the same as you say: One japanese player (did not respond me when /tell) had /follow at one of the three PHs there... maybe to be sure that noone kills him? He also had Nobles Mold in bazaar comment, and much japanese that I didnt understand. But maybe to say something like: Do not kill this one? So yes, I think you are right!

ok so... i'm here in the sanctuary with 17 mins until light day... and if it rains during that hour nm should spawn... and if it doesn't rain i'm gonna go to sleep... seems simple enough

Rained just now during Lightsday - NM didn't pop.
All 3 placeholders were up (Ranger sub for Widescan), after a few checks I killed a placeholder hoping it might respawn as the NM but the rain weather left before it respawned. The rain weather didn't last long either, at most 2 hours VD time.


Edit:
Rained a 2nd time, no NM - killed all the placeholders this time, but it changed to Double Lightning weather before the first one could respawn. (They're all back up as regular Myxomycetes now).

the EXACT same thing happened to me Kit... but you just posted before me... i even took screen shots and everything to keep track of my Light Day Report... it rained twice for me as well... second time it rained though someone else looking for Noble Mold also smacked the Myxomycetes too like i did the first time...

First time it rained was pretty much 6:22 when i took the Screen shot, i killed all 3 Myxomycetes hoping rain weather would still be up by the time they respawned... second time it rained was at about 13:19... never did see Noble Mold... then right after that it was Double Thunder at about 15:34... then i didn't care too much after that about the weather anymore...

so i guess we shouldn't have killed them kit but i'm starting to doubt the whole lightday+rain weather theory... guess it's just a matter of not killin the place holder or place holders for that supposed 24-72 hrs theory...

i was looking up at the Taisaijin Forum and saw the film strip of Leguna in Leviathan Server... he wasn't exactly looking for the NM but, damn...
