Here's my story with the Holier than Thou folks.

About 6 months ago or so. I joined TeamKanican. Shadz, and Kaeko had went to bat for me, and they got me in. I was extremely proud to be in there, because Apocalypse ( A good friend and a guy I admired greatly. He sat me down and taught me one morning all these tricks to DRK, t hen he quit the next day.) So naturally, I was very loyal to the dream of getting into TK. I felt like Apo had passed the torch to me. So I'm in, I'm camping almost every NM. Granted, I didn't have all the right subs, Just THF, because BBQ only wanted me as a /THF. So I'm working on the others in the meantime. One day after camping behemoth, we're heading to sky. And Kaeko sends me a /tell, about 2 or 3 days after I get into TK.

"I'm sorry you're to be kicked from TeamKanican"

Kaeko: "You're an RMT'er. If we would have known we wouldn't have let you in"

So I'm kicked. I'm crushed. Matter of fact, I gave all my gear to Glueforever, and I was about to delete my character because I hated living with this stigma of a gil buyer. When honestly I hadn't bought gil outside of that million, which I admitted too. Glue talked me out of it, gave me all my gear back. Said, don't worry about those losers. I just took my punches, and moved on. After hopping around through many HNM LS's I decided to make my own. We're @ behemoths Dominion. Chilicheese sends a /tell to my LS-mate. "haha so he had to make his own" I never had any bad dealings with Chili before. Months later, in a POL chatroom during maintenance. Riotouscrow, who seems to be conversating heavily with Jiggly calls me out infront of the chat saying. "Why don't you go kicked from an LS", this shocked me a little because Riotous and I had been good friends since BBQ. When I confronted him about it in game, he had no earthly idea what I was talking about. My Guess. A member of TK, since it was supposedly under wraps. Yet. someone (Jiggly supposedly) told members of BBQ he was going to get me kicked before I even knew it. Now Ashira's 100k is acceptable, but my million is so horrible. Hell, Ashira and I have helped groups with G-1 together. I've tanked more G2's as a DRK than most Ninja's and PLD's. Most people I've met on this game was via helping them. Hoturi is one of my closest friends, and during a sky run. He said. "I remember when you helped me during G-2" I didn't even realize I had helped him. Half of my sky LS. I met during G-2, or something of that sort. Donnie is a great guy, a great friend. He talks shit when provoked, or sometimes does the provoking. I don't think he bots. Maybe he has bought gil once, in his lifetime. Maybe a few times. Maybe everyone makes mistakes. There's a lot of "respectable" crafters who bought gil to jump start their crafting. Hell that 50k Adventurers Coupon blows. Neither side is meant to win this, the whole thing is pointless.

This is just a quick post to clear up the short history of Lunacy, since it appears facts are all wrong /sigh

The former shellholder of SoulSociety decided he no longer wanted to hold the shell, and decided it would be in our best interest to reform the shell, do to some internal drama etc. In talking about it with some members, we knew that some people would more than likely choose not to join a new shell with Ashira aka "ice queen"as a leader, and we said so be it. A lot of them claim they left b/c we didn't do anything event wise .... our events were Kirin and gods. Which are really hard to do when your trying to start up a new shell with new rules etc

So, in the end it was best to just drop the HNM/God crp, and let people go their own way (be social shell onry). Therefore, lunacy isn't a failure as a shell it's a place where all of our friends can come and say hi even though we are all seperated now. You've been preaching about not knowing facts donnie here is the facts.

I do not intent to post back so if you want to flame or whatever go ahead and you won’t be flamed in return. I am only here because I feel that my LS is being attacked as well as one of its members. Anyone who knows me knows I’m serious as I basically avoid posting KI (even after those funny threads by Aable).

To the Anti-HNM posters:
There is a lot of drama that goes on in forums regarding HNM such has XXX stole KB from XXX and so on; however, in actuality there is very little drama on Odin server. If you want to see what a bad situation looks like just go hop over to Asura or Fairy. The LSs here talk a lot of trash but very little ever occurs during the HNM fight. HNM is a choice and is certainly not a must. If you don’t find it fun or worthwhile it doesn’t make you a bad player or gimp as some who do HNM assert; players who do compete for HNM do generally have a different outlook on the game which I guess depending on what beliefs you have about the game can either be good or bad. Topo, I’ve never met or talked to you in any way (besides a drive by teabagging) but you seem like someone who really enjoys FFXI and doesn’t have to do HNM to have fun. That’s something I think a lot of players would envy but for me personally, I enjoy camping HNM with friends who I’ve been playing with for over a year.

To Donnie and members of BBQGold:
HNM drama is 1% drama due to a steal/mpk and 99% drama because people talk trash such as “so-and-so LS sucks omgz did you see them wipe last week!” Its not nice and it is elitist but that’s just the way things have become for whatever reason. Due to this perpetuating feeling of elitism, the newer LSs ALWAYS get bashed.(in this case that would be yours). If there is something wrong (or what others perceive to be wrong) with your LS, it will eventually get out. I suppose in this case, it’s the ongoing perception of BOTs and RMT. I don’t care about the legitimacy of the allegations; it is all just mere gossip and he-said-she-said as mentioned previously by another poster. Even LB and TK used to get laughed at and fight with each other. Its just a tough part of the growing process (one which some players would prefer not to be apart of, hence the anti-HNM sentiment). Also, yes it is blatantly hypocritical of Ashira to lecture someone for allegedly buying gil; I even told her myself it was.

To Kohen:
TK is a LS formed by a close group of friends to do HNM. We recruit based on one thing – friendship. I personally joined this LS because my brother Nermal and good friend Fry were members and wanted to play with them. I was a 75blm/34rdm/1whm with complete utter lack of endgame knowledge and skill (aka n00b). The only reason I got in was because I was a family of another member; if they had judged on skill I’d have been denied on the spot. I am so proud of being a member of TK not because we’ve kill all 4 CoP wyrms or getting HNM claims, but because on so many occasions we’ve taken friends who knew absolutely nothing about endgame and turned them into some of the better players on the server (please note we are still working on Jiggly =P). We are proof that NA and JP can work together, not as NA slaves to the “all knowing” JP but really together with equal say (All the wyrm strats were done by NAs like myself and Shadz, not the JP members).

We recruit like this – one member says no you’re not even considered – there is no voting (this is to prevent any possible drama). In your particular case, a couple members had a problem with your acceptance who were not online when you joined. This was a huge mistake on our part for rushing things and I am deeply sorry for falsely leading you on. RMT was the primary reason why someone said no, and as the person who volunteered to give you the news, that is the reason I gave you. If you feel cheated that Ashira was let off, it is because everyone already knew her (through Shadz) and yes we did let her RMT incident slide which people may or may not agree with. She is human and makes mistakes; and as friends, we forgive her as she has on multiple occasions shown guilt herself. Other LSs have forgiven their members for similar sins such as MPKing another LS for example. As Jiggly stated before, there can be forgiveness in game and in real life. Life is not fair and she was lucky enough to be given another chance while you were not. I’m deeply sorry for any confusion or hurt I or TK have caused you and we did not mean any malice. It’s not always easy finding a “home” even in game and I do hope that you find/have found a peaceful shell to have fun in.

Sorry I think I just wasted the lives of the 2-3 people that actually read the entire post.

I have had 0% encounters with most members of TeamKanican outside of Shadz, who I made a point to contact. You, and and Apocalypse. No contact what so ever. Fry and I did G-2 for some folks together. Him and Fulayg duo'ed Boreal Hound, and I fended off the eager players, and made them wait by the ??? pop. This doesn't excuse the harrassment. I was very peaceful. I actually was very understanding, you guys didn't want someone who had bought gil in your LS. I could understand, I didn't like it, but who am I to say you're wrong. Shadz is shocked, that I'm kicked because him and I were standing next to each other when I found out. He didn't even know. Fry sends me a /tell later that day. "You coming to so and so" and I had to tell him I was kicked. So obviously there's some sort of communication breakdown, because the only person who would know me that wasn't there was Jiggly. But don't think I forgot this quote.
