No one in this fucking game is perfect, NO ONE. i've made mistakes i regret. but i find it ammusing people judge everyone and hold their LS accountable (even if the action had nothing to do with the LS itself) over a mistake or two. what the fuck is that about?

Truestrike I think this sum's it up. I've run into so many 75 players that not only have the instant they hit 70 + the better than JOO attitude who act like no one helped them with AF or NM's or whatever,People need to realize odin has one of the least Drama in any form of any server..

And everyone and I mean everyone makes a mistake or 2, God knows I did just ask senrez or vagus about my first 3 trips to sky >.> Oh those agro no no its ok ill just die over here and you can raise me ....

The Noob mistakes ive made is so long i cant keep track thank god i normaly odette around to make me look less noobish ... sadly shes not in "Envy" so thats when i look the worst ^^

Just wow! I saw this thread when it was originally in the other forum, and now that it got transfered to Odin... what a mess it's become.

If you hate on others in FFXI and makes a big deal out of it, regaurdless of the reason, you need to step back and remember why you started this game. I dont think this is what you had in mind, you joined to explore the game and have fun. Instead of the fun you had before, now you're on KI bitching and fighting about who stole this, or who botted that, who did RMT, or who MPKed you.

I'm very opinionated, but I'm also not a public bitch. If I absolutely must vent about something, I talk to a friend who's willing to help me and lsiten, or I just dont say anything. If I cant say something nice, I try to avoid saying anything at all. That might sound cheap to you, but I have no reason to make a public fuss over what somoene might have done or be doing.

I'm also human and make mistakes. Sometimes I get angry and say or do things I dont mean to. It happens, and people either get over it or they dont. I try to forgive people in the long run on the belief that the world isnt truely evil, even if they seem that way sometimes through various vices that drive our actions sometimes. It's hard sometimes but as long as people are willing, I'm available to work through things and make peace of it. It doesnt mean I have to trust or like you, but there doesnt have to be any hateful feelings involved.

A lot of you seem to have issues with each other, and undoubtedly some of you have issues with me. All I can say is to please step back, take a deep breath, and take time to enjoy the game how it was meant to be. Play with your friends, and stop playing with the people you hate on KI by posting endless flames back and forth across the forums. There's a reason I dont come on KI and flame people, dispite having had it done to me.

I'd also like to say... I think a lot of people hate each other but dont even really know one another. I dont really know a great deal of you. It would be rather senseless if I flamed you over some random incident, but never really took the time to undrestand you or why it happened? It's even more absurd if it didnt involve me and affect me directly! In any case, you'd be amazed how much in the game can be worked out with a little conversation and understanding, both sides allowing.

I think your reading comprehension is about as good as your writing skills. I know the post you're talking about and I will never ever forgive you or regret the actions I've made. I told you that "I once respected you for playing Warrior past 37 and thought that you were a good player." Nowhere did I say I was sorry for calling you out on your gil buying measures.

I'm fairly reserved in game and I generally don't make any outbursts of anger or anything; it's probably due to the limited amount of text you can type in one message. I've never actually started an anti-Donnie or anti-gil buying/selling thread on KI or any other forum I frequent. I've never derailed a non-gil buying/selling thread with accusations either. What I do participate in is throwing out comments directed at you and/or other known gil buyers in an already established flame thread. I don't really care if drama comes about because of it.

There is a lot of drama that goes on in forums regarding HNM such has XXX stole KB from XXX and so on; however, in actuality there is very little drama on Odin server. If you want to see what a bad situation looks like just go hop over to Asura or Fairy. The LSs here talk a lot of trash but very little ever occurs during the HNM fight. HNM is a choice and is certainly not a must. If you don’t find it fun or worthwhile it doesn’t make you a bad player or gimp as some who do HNM assert; players who do compete for HNM do generally have a different outlook on the game which I guess depending on what beliefs you have about the game can either be good or bad. Topo, I’ve never met or talked to you in any way (besides a drive by teabagging) but you seem like someone who really enjoys FFXI and doesn’t have to do HNM to have fun. That’s something I think a lot of players would envy but for me personally, I enjoy camping HNM with friends who I’ve been playing with for over a year.

I think this is the most intelligent post in this mess of crap. thank you kaeko for using logic and thought in your post. and while i agree that Odin has FAR LESS drama than that of Fairy or Asura, i think that should be used as a building block amongst the LS's to just get rid of it altogether. if we've got it down as low as we do, why not just tey and eliminate it?

end-game will never be end-game till you fucking kids can grow up. SE's made a recent step in making it a little more fairplay, and we should be applauding them and cheering on each other, but here we are back at square one where we were 1+ years ago ripping on each other for buying gil, or an accidental MPK or whatever.

I didn't ignore this earlier Topo, just wanted to read over it a couple more times before I replied.

The prepubescent kiddies with hormone imbalances that make up a good chunk of the HNM scene aren't denying me anything. I've been of the mindset since day one that I didn't want to do anything in this game w/o my friends. I'm not big on having a ton of friends. I like keeping my circles small. If there's one thing in this game that stresses me out the most, it's trying to carry on 8 conversations at once. If I decide to dive into the HNM scene, it's going to be with my friends or not at all.

Yes people make mistakes and I have a lot more respect for players admitting them and apologizing than I do for those that continually cheat.

The only real drawback when camping an HNM isn't the competition, it's the asshats that choose to buy gil and bot to increase their chances of a claim. It doesn't take looking a little deeper to see why. Gil. Also, as Kaeko said, drama arises when someone gets beaten. Accusations fly, people get offended, threads like this show up and we all end up flaming. Honestly, SE should just make it so if a monster changes your title, the items it drops are all rare/ex or should have some sort of a timer on it so you can't fight it for 3 days or something. Drama solved somewhat.

then 2 greedy asshats and 1 other.. took it for their own vision. bascially fucking hard working people outta drops to hand it to their friends and to make it worse no one even backed me up!
Im satisfied with the fact ill probably never have all the gear that i want.
But it doesnt bother me considering i'm a damn good player and anyone that plays with me can see it.

For drama-free endgame, you could always try something non-competitive, like dynamis. There's two big NA dynamis shells that go often, and they're free of dram... wait, nevermind^^;;

Heh...Dynamis isn't exactly non-competitive. Compared to the HNM scene, it is. Especially when you take out the fact you can't really cheat in Dynamis. Members compete with each other for drops. A lot of it can be eliminated with a good distribution system though. It's hard seeing members put so much time into a dynamis shell only to have the game give them a big middle finger and never drop what they want. Drama usually comes up as a result of venting for that reason in a dynamis shell.
