Yea what was up with the chocobo wand? I've only seen one, EVER, on some JP in rabao. Was it before NA PC release even?

Hey Dyire, have you been getting your items for the GWP you've handed out?

You got that wand in the same event as this thread is about. I think the person with the most deaths, kills and stuff got it.

5 people on each server got the chocobo wand, based on stats.
The different moogle belts were also based on stats - bronze, silver and gold I believe, but I could be wrong.
The only other item I received (other than belt) in this event was an Adventurer Certificate.
Now, what those stats were exactly are anyone's guess :/

Yes, from that first one. There were moogles in the 3 nations *and* in Port Jeuno.
This past year's census thing was pretty lame I felt.

Doesn't that seem a bit unfair for the players who weren't available for this event?

No
Yeah, I mean it's one of those events where if you were there at that time, it's kind of a gift for playing since then.
But unfortunately for me, FFXI was kind of "weak" for me (As in I thought it was boring) at the time, I started in 2003 december (just intime for the treant event), but the thing is, I wasn't a daily checker of FFXI news and stuff, so I took my FFXI break (cause it got boring) during that event
, oh well, my own fault.
So, this is one of those items where it's a thing for those who been playing since then, I mean, it's the other way around IMO.
About being unfair, it's unfair for players who started 1,2 years after the veteran players to get items, and pretty much catch up with everything they've been doing these years.
Right now, I believe no one can tell how long a player has been playing, it's pretty much the same, NA release, it was obvious, someone with a level 60+ job at the time was either JP, NA who got JP verison of FFXI, or a fast leveler, so on.
Well this is my opinion, I guess this is what SE intended, since they didn't offer these event items (which depended on your "stats" more on that later), this time, the same events this year kind of suck, but oh well, what can you do.
You'd get the belts depending on how long you've been "adventuring", which means how many deaths, play time, total number of text read/written, and so on. So if you had little stats on those, you'd probably just get a bronze, if you had more, silver, and if you been playing probably like since JP release gold belt. You also got an adventures certificate also, if you played long enough, you can hang it in your mog house also.
So those were the items SE gave out to players who have been playing since then, they'd probably never ever hand them out ever again, it's one of those items that, if you weren't there, too bad and too late.

Well I hope to see these come back! I tossed my silver belt ages ago not thinking 2% hps would ever be any good, and would kill for it now.. lol.. As a galka hp obsessed pld with the Gold Belt I could get 65-70 hps out of the belt slot which I can only get 30hps out of atm XD Hell a silver belt would be ~45hp which would be nice too!
