One year ago I started to formally write these event guides, my oh my, how the monthes have passed. This year's event seems to have a chunk of last year's Winter Event with another event to gain the new Dream Robes. Many thanks to those who supplied helpful information and thanks for bearing with me the slow upload on this event's guide! (College applications suck D;)

[Event happenings]

Inter-City Warp
After completing the quest to attain your Dream Hat(?), the Smile-Bringers will now offer to teleport you to one of the other 2 nations. This teleport is free, but you need to either complete the Dream Hat quest, or give enough presents to kids. Since I completed this last year, I could already teleport without doing the quest again, so I need people to confirm this.

Where you will teleport to:
Windurst - Windurst Woods, near the zone to East Sarutabaruta
San d'Oria - South San d'Oria, near the zone to East Ronfaure
Bastok - Bastok Markets, near the zone to South Gustaberg

Firework Teleport
The regional teleporters in each nation will now teleport you to any region regardless of level in exchange for 10 fireworks of that nation.

Card Moogles
There is a Card Moogle in a zone of each of the three main nations. Their purpose is to give you a "fresh" tier one card every Vana'Diel day or upgrade a card you trade it with the appropriate job and level range. The Card Moogles give the nation's firework for every card traded to it and sometimes even a Dream Robe or Dream Robe+1!

Smile-Bringers
There is a Smile-Bringer in each of the three main nations, next to one of the Card Moogles. Additional information about these npcs are required, I don't know if they are the same as last year. Also, these npcs can teleport you to another city if you have recieved the Dream Hat.

Moogle Stands
The Moogle Stands seem to be reappearing every event to sell fireworks and previous items from similar events. This year, the Moogles-duos are selling fireworks and other previous Winterfest equipment and furnishings!

Dream Robe
The process is very easy to getting a Dream Robe, you just need to be patient and read this carefully. Every Vana'Diel day, you can get a fresh new card. The name of it is not very important, but memorize it anyways. Lets say the fresh card is at level 1. It is also "registered" to you. The moogle will tell you a Job+Level Range combo to deliver your card to. Find a person that can fit the requirements (by /shouting, /searching, etc). Once you find a person who fits that description, trade him/her the card. Have the person change to the main job that fits it, then have him/her trade that card to the Card Moogle. He/she will in return, get another card and some fireworks. That card should be the same name as your fresh card, but now it is a level 2 card. Have the person give you back the card, and check the card's job and range by talking/trading the card to the Card Moogle. Repeat this process until you are holding a level 3 card in your inventory. This card should have the requirements of one of the jobs the person who "registered" the fresh card at the very start. Change to the appropriate job and trade the level 3 card to the Card Moogle. If it is the same card you started out with, but just upgraded, you should get your Dream Robe. If something went out of order or etc, you will only be asked to upgrade the card again.

Note: It is possible to be really lucky and happen to take a card from someone and find that it is on its last level to get your Dream Robe without having to go through all that above.

Dream Robe +1
Do the same thing as you did to get the Dream Robe, but trade only with people who have Dream Robes. Make sure they trade the card with the Robe equipped, just in case.

Dream Hat
This year, you can directly obtain the Dream Hat by purchasing it at one of the Moogle Stands for 10,000 G.

Place all three(?) Festival Tree Furnishings in your moghouse (Don't forget to set them up!) and wait till Midnight JST. Talking to your Moghouse moogle afterwards should net you the Special Present item. Open it outside for your new cookie hat!

Festival Tree Furnishings
All three Nation's trees are now purchasable at the Moogle Stands for 10,000 G. Be glad that you didn't have to go hunting all over the place for them like last year ~_~

Fireworks
Fireworks fireworks fireworks. Can buy some of them at the Moogle Stands for fairly cheap, or get a nice chunk by trading a Card Moogle a matching card. Don't forget that you can use them at the Outpost NPCs to get a free Outpost warp anywhere!

Go to moogle, he will give you a card to give to a job any level range. Find a job in that level range, give the card to him, tell him to go to moogle and get a reward.

Card Moogle Locations:
South San'Doria: (J-9)/(K-9) line
Northern San'Doria: (D-8)
Windurst Woods: (K-10)
Windurst Waters: (F-5)

Moogle in the starting nations will give you a card, and tell you to find someone with a "[Job] in the [X]'s". For example "Find a warrior in the 50s and hand the card over kupo!"
It is easiest to find the people via shout, or /sea region job lvl-lvl

Once you find the person, ask them to trade the card to the moogle. They will most likely recieve Sparkling Hands. If not, they will receive "Dream Robe." I got my Robe when trading my fourth card to the moogle- I have read someone got their robe on their first turn in, though.
You will get four cards from the moogle, before you start over. Like the summer event, there are no penalties for having to start over.

Notes:
You can only get one card per VD day.
If you are having problems trading, it is because the person already has the card (remember, they are Rare)

You must wear your hat to give presents, if you do not have one from last year, buy one from a Moogle vendor.

The Smilebringer will warp you to another area after you distribute presents

There are way more than 4 cards.

Pleiades, Canopus and Aldebaran just to name 3 that aren't listed in that post up there.
