I applaud the time and effort you put into this guide... wonderful stuff!! I have been playing RDM for a bit.. not too long, but my macro list is crazy.. I am going to redo them with your advice.. THANKS!!
I believe opinions are like "you know".... everyone has one and they all stink... This guide was made as a reference for those who need some help with the job of RDM.. not as the only way to play the job. Take what you like from the guide and leave the rest... then go figure out what your own personal style is. That is what makes this game so fun, you can do it all YOUR way... may not be the right way, but your way nonetheless..
You gave me alot to think about and I thank you!! I hope it makes me a better RDM. (lord knows we a few more good ones!!)
How to play caster type: Rdm/blm

i dont recomend using in any macro, i cant tell you the number of times ive woken a slept mob with a nuke or dia, i prefer and i keep the main mob 'd. when you do that tho, you have to put in ur buff macro's to switch between pt member's
also, if you have a ninja in the pt, its best to let them enfeeble to help hold hate, it only builds enmity if it sticks, and it wont stick if the rdm already put it on
also, this is not meant as a flame, more of a sarcastic observation, but smurv, wth are you fighting that lives long enough for you to go thru all those macros? lol i find 1 bar's worth of ctrl, and alt buttons to more than enough

For the love of god sub whm. No one invites you to party for your nukes, they invite you for refresh/healing and debuff's.
If you want to melee level blue mage for christ sake. No wonder there is so many meleeing rdm's you guys encourge it on these forums. If you want to melee do it when your soloing. People don't invite you for your craptacular B sword skill damage. RDM/WHM for xp. /BLM /NIN /DRK are endgame or soloing.

Great guide, but now for a n00bish question :blush
Perhaps I missed it, but how the heck do you use more than one set of macros. I know how to set them and switch from, say pld macs and rdm macs, but I have never used more than one set of control and alt macs for a job. is there a simple key stroke to toggle between the sets that i have missed in the last 4 years?
Damn I feel dumb! Help me out please, this is a serious question. lol

On PC, you can use CTRL and down arrow key, or up, depending on which way you have to go. But, this isn't a problem for me as I only have 1 set of macros, everything else I use with CTRL-E.

hmm, very interesting. I have wandered into another set of macros by accident before, now i know how. I must have hit my down direction on my controller while pressing L1 or R1.
Thanks for the info.
