I have looked through some of the posts fellow players have left looking for some explanation about Guild Points and Guild Point items. I am almost to lvl 28 Cooking (this being the only craft I have actually put some effort towards) and I know I'm coming to the time where GP will come into play. Now, I'm not fully grasping how that works at this point. Would anyone be willing to give me a more consolidated explanation as to how it works. Also, What are some MH furnishings that are known to be most beneficial for Cooking.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated smile.gif

GP, or Guild Points, are points awarded for turning in the requested item of the day. Each item has a set amount of pionts it awards. Now each da you can only earn a set amount of points. You can start earning GP once you hit level 28 in whatever craft. This site here shows the guild requested item of the day ( http://www.titanictus.com/tools/guild/ ), and updates around 10-11am EST each day. Just look up your craft, the level you are, and then look at the item. Click on it and it will tell you the item, how to craft it, what level is necessary, how much GP you will earn by turning in one, and how much you will need to turn in to cap the amount of GP you can earn that day.

Edit: At 48, 68, and 88 of your craft, you can earn an item that can raise your craft level by 1 each. The first 2 items are equipment, and the last is a mog furniture piece.

Edit 2: Some guilds have items to make better stuff. Like cooking has an item so you can make the special cakes, woodworking has an item so that you can synth more then one log at a time, and so on. This site here ( http://mysterytour.w...guild/guild.htm ) has a great list of the GP needed to get each item, and which items are available each craft.

Accumulating GP is like accumulating gil/CP/EXP/etc. in exchange for a key item that enables more crafting options in a craft. In order to do that, you basically sign a control in agreement to supply a guild with a different item every day. In exchange for a limited acceptance of said item, you are rewarded a limited amount of GP to use for key items (let's say, abilities) specific to a craft. The requested item changes daily, so there's always another chance to get your GP.

NPCs to sign up a control with the guild for...
Cooking: Qhum Knaidjn
Woodworking: Andreas

And for the folks who can't exactly afford to run to the guild to check the day's GP item:
Titanictus.Com DiGIT : Daily Guild Item Tool

EDIT: Dangit, Dr. Ifto! *lol*

The body parts adds +2 in every Craft skil, or am i wrong

So its +3 out of the equipment.

Also, http://www.ffrecipe....ern.php?lang=en for those of you who would like the option of having basically the same thing in moon language. One thing I really like about that site is that if you register, you can set up a searchable bazaar of sorts for people on your server. Granted, most people will never see it but there's another feature I like more. You can edit your profile to include your crafting levels, right down to tenths of a level. I use it as a backup in case something should happen and I accidentally erase my bazaar comment with my skill levels in it.

Silly question, related to GP enough to be asked here:

How much synthesis support does the belt item give? +1 or +3? I would assume +3, but would like to know before using precious GP on it.

Thanks ^^

I have a quick question about guild points. I'm not certain what guild I would like to do, however the shades for Clothcrafting and Goldsmithing catch my eye from time to time. If anything I see these as just something to wear in town.

My Question is can I obtain Clothcraft and Goldsmithing glasses? or is it that I can only get 1. I asked my linkshell about this and they really weren't the crafting type so no one could tell me for sure.

You assume correctly. The belts do indeed give +3 soft skill, just like advanced support from the guild.

Yes, you can obtain multiple GP items from multiple guilds. However, you can only accumulate GPs with one guild at a time, and upon switching guilds, all accumulated GPs will be lost. So, what you could do would be to level Clothcraft to 48, earn 70K GPs in in Clothcraft, get your specs, then switch to Goldsmithing GPs, earn another 70K GPs in that guild, and get those specs.

Highest I've seen in alchemy so far is Cermet Kukri (7280GP)

Not sure if there's something higher or not though.

It's real simple man. All you need to know for now is that the guild point guy will ask you to make him something every day. The item, based on its difficulty will be alloted a value in guild points that the NPC keeps track of. The NPC can also tell you how many guild points you can recieve (max) in one day by turning in the same item. (Real life day, reset @ JP Midnight)

As you get higher in level, the items you will be able to make will grow more difficult and thus be assigned a higher value of GP.

edit: shut the fuck up Eldamri /cock slap

Say your crafting skill is 50 and your making something at skill cap of 55, normally you would get skillups but if you use advanced support (+3) and have +3 from equip and item (I know you cant get all 3 that early but go with me for example) youd have skill of 50+6, so would you still get skillup, or would the +6 not be considered for not getting skillup but help give you success still?
