I noticed that if you trade the Summoner NPCs a 'Kiddie Present' (I had one left over from the Xmas event) you will get the buffs but the item does not go away; therefore, it can be used an umlimited number of times.

A friend of mine and I spent the whole imagery trying to fish this so-called New-Year's Fish to no avail. We were trying the stream in East Ronfaure, and the lake in West Ronfaure. Is there a specific place to fish? Or a specific fishing level you need? We're both under Lv5 fishing (heh), but most events/quests that involve fishing don't require any skill, so I'm uncertain of that.

And trying to reget a New Year's Gift is close to impossible for some reason o_O

So...can anyone confirm using the New Year's item for fishing imagerey and catching a Rare/Ex new year fish of some sort and trading that to Fenrir for a Letter of Apollogy? I've read this on somepage as well but don't know if its true?


Let's all face it...SE has only had 3 or 4 really good Holiday rewards.
Those being: Happy/Fortune Eggs, Treat Staff 1 and 2, Chocobo stable warp collars (which I wish they'd let me recharge somehow...maybe Expeditionary Pts. like the Empress Band or something...hell maybe even add a mid lv. NM that drops them?). And maybe 1 or 2 more but i can't think of em right now.

Treant NMs were in certain zones and by talking to a moogle you would get your level capped for the zone, 20 for the starting zones I think. Then basically everyone swarmed it until it was dead. You would die like crazy because it had some nasty AoE. The server to kill them all got the "reward" which was teleport warping.
