you actually work for what you get, even if mnk it's not your main. it just means you worked with another job to get your gear.. i'm 2/3 on black belt too, but i tanked kings with nin, so it's not as it's just a gift, you worked for it and you get it.. yeah, you get it sooner than most mnks, but it's common to have a 2nd job with better gear than the 1st you exped <_<

if you have an osode and you exp nin, when you get nin to 75 and put on osode, do you feel like it's an accomplishment? or you think you're just an asshat because you got the nin dream body with another job?

If someone gets enjoyment out of this game from getting nice shineys, congrats to them. Thats why we are all here.

There is a difference between working and farming your ass off (for ls) for something and getting the same item just because you were next in line. Both ways you do get the same item, and I suppose some people get the same sense of accomplishment.

another example:
Taking a 75 job to solo the af for your next job. Someone leveling for the first time will be shouting in jeuno or will be at the mercy of other people's schedules. You both get the AF in the end, but one had to go through alot more to get it.

I could take my lvl37 ninja to the ninja forums and brag about all the ninja dream gear I have already for when I get my nin to 75. Im sure I'll miff a few people with that. Did I work hard on my ninja for my ninja gear? nope.

I must be a monk purist. Anything other than having MNK as your first and only, wont suffice. So if youre offended by my personal opinions, too bad. Its a public forum.

if you have something, unless you got lucky, you did work for it. if i solo my af it's not an accomplishment to me because since i'm more pushed to endgame gear and not 50ish gear, it's way different.. when you were exping your 1st job, 50ish was a high level

yeah, you may not work as hard as someone doing nin or whatever job as 1st job, but if it's an endgame gear i'm sure it's not a gift and you did something to get it <_<

I think that's why SE did the class system the way they did. Your accomplishments are by character, not by job. Whether you beat it with your fists, or with a spell, you still achieved the accomplishment. I don't hold any grudge toward those who level it as a second job and are better equipped than me. It's a perk.

I do have a problem with people who started after I did, somehow play less than I do, and yet still end up with overall better gear (*cough*gilbuyer*cough*), but that's neither here nor there.

Finally obtaining Brutal Earring, with it, I just need to upgrade my back armor (I just keep thinking 1 more str there is not worth 13 mil, lol) and wait until we go back to sea for Faith torque to finally have the gear I have wanted for my mnk

Had another excellent pt in Gustav Tunnel on Bones. MNK/MNK/MNK/BRD/BRD/WHM. But what came out of that pt is my latest and greatest accomplishments... I hit a 900 Dragon Kick on an IT Demonic Pugil down there, my highest WS damage -ever-. I also saw Chain 8 for the first time down there, was incredible. And I got to Counter tank the entire pt, which was great. Also made a very nice new friend, a great JP monk who is my lvl(actually, just hit 68 tonight), who I exped with the other night in my first ever bones pt. He was very quick to come exp with my static, and I'm sure he will be joining us for more adventures ^^

Completed all my AF; and got my Brown Belt on the 23rd. Vine dropped from KS30 and some summoners from my server were nice enough to invite me in and let me lot.
