Correct. I take my SAM for that stuff. 8/8 GKT there.

Monk I don't get to use very often, but I do enjoy using it for salvage and things like ISNM/Nyzul etc.

And I like monk because they get 12% movement speed, unlike sam

They need to up the number of combat merits, it annoys the shit out of me.

My warrior never gets to see the outside of my mog house, so that's why I don't have it merited.

I did however get King's Justice not too long ago, parse's well with full STR gear.

If I didn't play THF so often, I could drop my sword merits, and my suppanomimi for a bushi

What do you use sword merits on thf for? Ridill or not their sword skill is piss poor. I can't see that being productive on anything. If it's something like farming or too weak, then the sword merits aren't going to make a diff either way

Let's just hope SE raises the cap on combat merits sometime, I'd really love to have 8 h2h merits.

Here's a question for you Mr soda, did you use enkidu's harness on Mnk for salvage before you had full usukane?

With Enkidu's + Rajas + Black belt + Usu hands, that would put me at 40% TP reduction, add a whm's Auspice to that and I'm Capped.

Monks in my groups never use it, maybe because they don't have it, or maybe it's just too ugly for them, I don't know.

Why would I use Enkidu's? Shura is better. I used mirke 10 acc 10 attack before usu and before mirke, I used togi+1. Subtle blow caps at 50. Monk's roll + base traits alone should easily cap any mnk.

Well, enkidu's has evasion, and subtle blow with 10 acc and 10 atk, seems pretty boss to me. Shura has -50hp, which on an Elvaan may not be noticeable, but on a Taru it sure is.

I don't think I've ever had a Cor come to salvage with me, generally I have to pull teeth to even get a brd. People need to lvl more jobs .

Again the subtle blow won't mean shit. The evasion doesn't mean shit (I tank salvage bosses in full usu and they still never miss). even if you don't have a cor, have the thf sub cor, is what we do.

This game was a lot more fun before people started obsessively parsing. Oh, I like knowing the mechanics, but the level of nebbish whining that accompanies anyone who might dare enjoy his video game really ruins things. I left a party yesterday when I was Barding for two Hachiman Samurai and I won't apologize for that (one was using Iron Ram Lance and the other wasn't using TP at all, so it's not just that they had those green abortions on), but I don't have the time, interest, or energy to give a damn if someone is going to show up in Askar Korazin so long as they make the monsters die. The only time I get picky about gear is Salvage and, even then, I really only care about myself (since I'm the bulk source of damage) and shouting at the Thief to put her damned Ridill away when we're fighting mobs with nasty TP attacks.

In places where it matters, obsessing about tiny little shit like having separate equipment with and without Focus (a job ability I choose to save for NMs rather than activating immediately after its cooldown finishes) makes a minute difference. What places matter at this point, however? Einherjar bosses, Dynamis Lord, maybe Salvage Chariots (I've fought them with several slots locked due to poor luck and we still won)... it's not a long list. Even fights like Alexander or Chains of Promathia battles back at release could be won without bursting a blood vessel because someone is using *gasp* NQ Noct Gloves or Chivalrous Chain.

Back in the day, it didn't matter what gear you had. We just threw a shit ton of people at stuff and won.
