Hippogryph or Gnat, Dipper 2.0 for 99 would be nice.

All jobs GK is from the Feast of Swords event.
In short, you attack Samurai looking mobs with a gimpy sword and try and absorb TP moves they do (5 to 9 seems to get you the katanas). When they die you trade the sword to a ??? and get stuff.

yeah so far /pld seemed like th best option, but drk/pld is pointless

If you have the merits to put into Staff and can get a Temperance Torque and or Staff Hachimaki, /WAR is the better pic.

Also, while we're still a few months off from the level cap, the sword event is going on right now and you can get a all jobs GK.
Right now /SAM is 138 skill and /NIN is 128 skill, Jinpu is 150 and Koki is 175. Something to think about.

Taint, I'm sorry but you keep grouping SAM with WAR and MNK when they're way beyond SAM for DD in Abyssea. Even with Fudo they're still in the same boat as DRK in terms of effectiveness in Abyssea.

I notice the people that are saying this isn't all that good are Apoc users and use the most optimal party setup possible. You have to realize to the causal player (or anyone for that matter) who joins random op party's most likely isn't going to have a bard or dancer, or possibly even haste. While this isn't going to bring DRK up to damage capabilities of WAR or MNK these days, its the causal player that is going to see the most improvement on their DRK.
