17 November 2013 - 07:15 PMThe unofficial port was originally released by ShenZhen Nanjing Technology in China. According to modder Lugia2009, the new port is "a complete overhaul" of the original game and improves its graphics, music and more. A complete list of changes is available through Romhacking.net.
According to the mod's page:
QuoteIt’s finally done! After 4 years of work, here it is.
This hack changes just about every aspect of this game and makes it a much more enjoyable experience, and resemble the original PS1 version more accurately.
Music, graphics, gameplay…There’s just too much to list here!
For a list of all changes to the game, have a look at the Readme file.
The Final Fantasy 7 NES mod is available to download on Romhacking.net.

11 October 2013 - 08:21 AMThis is started to gain attention on other sites like the official forums and bluegartr (SE deleted the thread on the main forums)
Here is an image of a crafter going from level 20 to level 50 in minute.
tldr; There is a hacking exploit of SE's databases where a user can run a script, ask to have the character's info changed and the server will do it.
This seems to have been around for quite some time and just now getting out in the open.
When talked about on the official forums SE just deletes the posts. (I'm sure they're trying to keep it down so others don't do it before they can get it fixed, but its already out there trying to "hide" it isn't going to help)

Game will be free-to-play, with reports of micro-transactions for in-game items.
There is no word yet if Final Fantasy Agito is heading to the US.

QuoteSquare Enix president Yoichi Wada has resigned from the company.
Yoichi Wada, whose long-running career in the games industry saw him become Square Enix president in 2000, will be replaced by Yousuke Matsuda. Wada will also no longer serve as a representative director to the company, though it was not said if he was leaving Square Enix entirely.
The resignation follows the announcement that the company expects to make an "extraordinary loss" in revenue for the current financial year, ending March 31.
Quote...Square Enix expects to post a loss of 10 billion Yen for the financial year ending March 31.
Hopefully 14 will be big and they can pull through, lets not forget...
Naoki Yoshida said:[via - ign.com]We won't make a mistake like FFXIV again, If we did, it would be like at the level of destroying the company.
