That is a little disappointing. Unless they set the level requirement to unlock the new jobs pretty low this could become a big (and possibly boring) time sink. -

I think it's rather perplexing that they would want to return to the stale auto attacking mechanic. I rather like the fact that FFXIV had broken away from it, but it is what it is. At the end of the day it's presence or absence won't influence my overall enjoyment of the game.
I am a little bit interested in this new Job system they intend to impose though. For a while I thought they were just going to retweak the classes to more dedicated positions, but leaving them in their current state for solo play while adding in more streamlined jobs is intriguing. It will be interesting to see if it doesn't cause them balancing issues and headaches in the long run. -
