About Me
Omniyoji started out as a mule for my main character Toyo. Toyo was initially an experiment. I used Toyo to test out Final Fantasy XI and see if it was truly the game I wanted to play. Within about a month, I soon ran out of inventory space on Toyo. Toyo was mainly used to make gil and harvest (I was addicted to harvesting lol >_>). I soon ran out of storage and created Omniyoji to help out Toyo with his business. Having realized I was going to stay in Vana'diel for a long time; I started over with Omniyoji (he had a better name).
Onmyoji, the original spelling of my future character, but was taken by some other schmuck. I had to opt for an alternate spelling which fortunately for me wasn't taken. I chose the name Omniyoji for its meaning and to define what my character was soon to be. The Onmyōdō☆ did exist but I focused more on the Japanese mythological sense of the word. An Onmyoji was a master of both the Yin and Yang, which were the negative and positive forces that balanced the universe. Having a name as such, Omniyoji was to be solely a mage.
At first I wanted Omniyoji to become a SMN. While leveling in the early stages right outside your starting nation; I saw for the first time the SMN job in action. I fell in love and saw it was really cool having mythical beasts battle for you just like the Onmyōdō and their Shikigami. Being a n00b and not knowing about advanced jobs, I settled for BLM. Having liked Black Mages in past Final Fantasy games, I turned to the dark arts. Since then I spent my Vana'diel life training and perfecting my BLM skillz. You can read about Omniyoji's BLM adventures at this Blog.
Omniyoji's now retired and officially quit Final Fantasy XI on June 21, 2010.
